Luis F. Luque Vega

Luis F. Luque-Vega. (M’2013) was born in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico in 1985. He received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Technological Institute of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, in 2006, and both M.S. and PhD. degree in electrical engineering with orientation in Automatic Control from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute CINVESTAV Unidad Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. In addition, he has a post-doctorate stage at the Department of Electronics, Systems and Informatics of the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education ITESO San Pedro Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico in 2015.

He is currently an Associate Professor at Centro de Investigación, Innovación y Desarrollo Tecnológico CIIDETEC-UVM campus Guadalajara Sur in Jalisco, Mexico. Certified as a Jalisco Innovation Agent by Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology of Jalisco SICyT through Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education ITESM campus Guadalajara and he has the distinction from the National Research System by the National Council of Science and Technology CONACyT Mexico. His research interests include engineering education, robotics, drones, computer vision, robust nonlinear control, intelligent control and distributed control applied robotic systems.

Dr. Luque-Vega became a Member of IEEE in 2013 and he is currently chairman of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. Besides. He was a chairman of the student branch IEEE–Cinvestav campus Guadalajara from 2013-2014.
